CEAD is looking for a dynamic, self-driven Regional Sales Manager to join our international commercial team and help strengthen our presence and expand our customer base in the United States.
This remote/home-office-based role is part of CEAD Inc., headquartered in Michigan, and reports directly to the Head of Sales at our global HQ in Delft, the Netherlands. We are ideally looking for candidates based in the Northeast, Southeast, or Midwest region of the United States. As part of this role, you’ll participate in strategic activities across CEAD’s global customer network — including exhibitions, international business trips, and visits to our headquarters. Flexibility, independence, and adaptability are essential for success.
Your Mission:
As Regional Sales Manager, your mission is to strengthen CEAD’s market leadership and accelerate business growth across the US. You will drive the full commercial cycle in your assigned region —representing CEAD across the full customer journey:
- Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline by generating, identifying and qualifying high-potential prospects.
- Conduct virtual and on-site meetings to assess and understand client needs and showcase CEAD’s technical solutions.
- Provide consultative sales and application engineering support throughout the sales process.
- Define and present custom CEAD configurations that align with customer applications, goals, and budgets.
- Lead the negotiation process and managing all commercial aspects through to contract signature and project handover.
- Deliver post-installation support to ensure client satisfaction, system adoption, and long-term relationship development.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver and exceed assigned sales targets within designated territories, primarily the United States (with potential for support or oversight in additional regions).
- Cultivate and grow relationships with both new and existing customers to drive long-term business development and increase market share.
- Independently manage complex sales opportunities from first contact to contract signature, including high value deals up to several million euros. And prepare strategic, customized commercial proposals and lead negotiations with full autonomy.
- Identify, evaluate, and develop partnerships with external stakeholders, including agents, resellers, and research institutions.
- Actively gather and report market intelligence to support CEAD’s marketing and commercial strategies, contributing insights to increase order intake and profitability.
- Plan and execute targeted business trips and maintain a visible presence within your region through regular customer visits.
- Represent CEAD at trade fairs, customer visits, exhibitions, and industry events, both internationally and at company headquarters in Delft.
- Ensure accurate, timely reporting through CRM platforms, maintaining up-to-date pipelines, forecasts, and territory activity logs.
- Provide weekly reports to the direct manager, detailing trends, results, and strategies for increasing order intake and profitability in the assigned territory.
Your Skills:
- Strong leadership potential or natural aptitude for growth into a team-leading role.
- Proficient in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, Pipedrive, HubSpot) — required.
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills.
- Background in engineering, industrial technology, or a related field preferred.
- Curiosity and enthusiasm for innovation; interest or experience in 3D printing or CNC machining is a strong plus.
Native-level fluency in American English, both written and spoken. - Strong team-player and highly collaborative mindset — at CEAD, teamwork is essential to our success.
- Technical aptitude to understand complex customer requirements, define suitable technical solutions, and build customer trust and respect at a technical level.
Your Experience:
- Minimum 4–5 years of proven success in technical B2B sales; direct sales experience is required; indirect sales experience is considered a plus.
- Experience working with high-value OEMs producing complex, custom-engineered machinery.
- Demonstrated ability to navigate complex sales cycles and drive continuous process improvement in response to evolving customer needs and sales processes.
- Track record of success in application-driven sales, particularly where proof-of-concept validation is a key decision driver.
- Proven ability to independently manage and develop a large geographic territory with full commercial responsibility and autonomy.
- Experience in application engineering or technical consulting is highly advantageous.
- Deep familiarity with at least one of the following sectors (priority areas marked):
o Building and Additive Construction (key priority)
o Architecture and Design (key priority)
o Defense, Gov. & Research Institutions and Universities (key priority)
o Maritime
o Aerospace
