Mechatronics Engineer

We’re on the hunt for a skilled and innovative Mechatronics Engineer to join our dynamic team at CEAD Group. Do you love 3D printing, machine building or working with high-end composites? This is a unique opportunity to lead a vital (secret) project, continue its development and integrating with existing machinery to elevate functionality of the CEAD Large scale 3D printing equipment. If you have a passion for problem-solving, a background in industrial machine building or mechatronics, and are ready for a role that mixes hard-core engineering with project management, we want to hear from you!

Location: Delft (International Travel Required)


Lead and execute the design and integration of a new machine/development within the portfolio of CEAD.

Manage project timelines, resources, and stakeholder communication effectively.

Collaborate closely with our international teams and customers, ensuring seamless integration and implementation.

Develop electrical schematics and engineering drawings, ensuring all designs meet industry standards.


A minimum of 3 years’ experience in mechatronics engineering, with a strong foundation in electrical systems and mechanical design.

Proven project management skills and experience in the industrial machine building industry.

The ability to create detailed engineering drawings and electrical schematics.

Excellent communication skills and the willingness to travel internationally.



  • Advanced knowledge of mechatronics, electrical systems, and mechanical design.
  • Proficiency in creating and interpreting electrical schematics and engineering drawings.
  • Experience with project management software and tools.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and safety regulations.
  • Familiar with (fine) mechanical industrial components (pneumatics and their controls, servomotors, small gearboxes, heating elements etc.)
  • Capable of designing hardware components using established production methods such as machining, sheet metal work, laser cutting, water jetting, 3D printing etc.
  • Creativity: Being able to independently build and adjust small prototypes to make improvements for existing machine(s), including both mechanical hardware and wiring electrical boxes, connecting relays.
